"Kogin" is a type of Sashiko stitch born in Japan's Tsugaru district during the Edo period. Kogin has thicker, tighter geometric patterns with the threads tightly embroidered together.

Designed to reinforce layers of fabric, this thread has a natural matte finish, with the seams becoming fluffy and beautiful when threaded into a cloth. This is a single strand thread that is not meant to be divided.
